Wine
An important factor in wine production is the wine yeast. During the wine fermentation the yeast metabolises the carbohydrates and gives the wine its specific aroma and alcohol. Ohly wine yeasts are selected to produce a minimal amount of negative by-products.

Dairy / Meat Industry
Starter cultures have been used in dairy and sausage production for thousands of years to improve conservation and taste. Nowadays the active micro organisms are produced in fermenters to be added separately or in blending in the food processing.
