The Role & Your Tasks
As Food Application Specialist you are responsible for knowledge transfer/ training about Ohly´s existing and new innovative products to Food customers. You answer technical questions of our customers on how to best use Ohly products in their applications and regularly visit them. You build up and maintain a network with the technical experts at the customers and relevant knowledge institutes and universities. You keep-up to date with the market trends and come up with new application and product ideas (technology push) as well as translate the knowledge you gained from discussions with customers into new product ideas (market pull). You assure that Ohly products are implemented in the proper way by (potential) Ohly customers by assisting the customers with the implementation of Ohly products at their production sites. You remain up-to-date with the status of the competitor solutions and recognize patentable results.
You minimally have an MSc in Food Technology/Nutrition and minimal 3-5 years of professional experience in application implementation/technical sales, preferably in the food industry. You obtain energy from interacting with customers and are able to recognize new business opportunities. You are externally focused and have a good knowledge of the most recent food market trends. You are a self-starter, able to deal with and handle changing priorities. You have a hands on mentality, and if time allows, you develop new recipes following customer requests or for new Ohly products.
