We are looking for a committed and highly motivated student to support our Innovation-Team in Hamburg for a period of 6 months at the earliest possible date: Mandatory Internship in Product Development for Fermentation Applications (R&D)

The Role & Your Tasks

As part of the Micrometabolisms-Team in the Innovation department you will support Ohly GmbH with the development of new products for the application of yeast extracts in the fermentation area.

Your tasks include primarily:

  • Planning, conducting as well as analyzing the results of your projects in the lab
  • Fermentation of various microorganisms and microbiology related activities
  • Statistical data analysis; documentation of results; writing of reports; regular meetings and presentations to update on progress of the project

Your Profile

You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Microbiology or Biotechnology (or similar) and you have a very good background in Fermentation. Previous experience with fermentation is required.

You have good analytical and experimental skills and have good communication and reporting skills. You are a team player and are able to work independently. You have good command of English, both spoken and written.
