OHLY® KAT provides basic savoury flavour and umami taste thanks to its naturally high content of free amino acids. It imparts a fresh and natural note, especially to vegetable products, and is a preferred ingredient in low sodium food products. Typical application areas are soups and sauces, as well as low salt seasoning blends, and cream soups based on vegetable or poultry. Usage levels range from 0.1 % to 0.3% up to 15.0% in seasoning blends. Available in powder (OHLY® KAT), liquid (OHLY® KAF) and paste form (OHLY® KAV).
