Ohly-GO® Wall is a product consisting out of premium yeast cell walls derived from hydrolyzed primary cultivated baker’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) cells. As yeast cell walls are spheres the components that are present on its outside interact with the host (see picture). Ohly-GO® Wall contains a mixture of beta-glucans and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) on the outside of the yeast cell walls. Yeast beta-glucans are well known immune modulators of both the innate and adaptive immune systems. MOS are able to bind, and limit the colonization, of gut pathogens like Salmonella, E. coli and Clostridia spp.
Difference in cell wall structure between autolyzed (Ohly-GO® MOS) and hydrolyzed (Ohly-GO® Wall) yeast cell walls.
Ohly-GO® MOS Ohly-GO® Wall
Ohly-GO® Wall is added to feed to improve feed conversion ratios and mortality replacing antibiotic growth promoters. It is usually applied at levels of 0.25-1 kg/ton feed.
