NEIVA Glucan Max

High-quality yeast beta-glucan with high degree of branching to naturally stimulate the immune system.

NEIVA Glucan Max naturally stimulates the immune system* due to its high-quality yeast beta-1,3/1,6-glucan with a high degree of branching.

The specific beta-1,3/1,6 linkage of glucose units in NEIVA Glucan Max is known to be particularly effective at stimulating the immune system through two different receptors. NEIVA Glucan Max's mode of action is substantiated by comprehensive scientific studies.

Key function of NEIVA Glucan Max

NEIVA Glucan Max supports and stimulates the immune system* by:

  • activating prime key immune cells such as macrophages, monocytes and neutrophils
  • stimulating the production of cytokines
  • enhancing the effectiveness of vaccines

Benefits of NEIVA Glucan Max

  • High levels of beta-glucan: 75% ±1%
  • More branching than other beta-glucan products made from yeast, oat or barley
  • Free from artificial additives and preservatives with no synthetic ingredients

Application

NEIVA Glucan Max can be formulated in various dosage forms and has many applications such as functional food, sports nutrition and dietary supplements.

NEIVA Glucan Max can be mixed into dry matrices, powder blends, pastes or emulsions. Being insoluble, it can be dispersed into liquids or lipids through high shear mixing. Our yeast beta-glucan is subjected to a gentle purification and drying process resulting in a narrow particle size distribution for convenient handling.

Scientific Study

NEIVA Glucan Max stimulates phagocytic activity

We have evaluated the effects of NEIVA Glucan Max on the phagocytic activity of monocytes, neutrophils and peritoneal macrophages and shown significant stimulation in all three cases. Additionally, our data shows that NEIVA Glucan Max has significant biological activity and stimulates both cellular and humoral immune responses.1

Phagocytic Activity*

* Normalized data

Phagocytic activity refers to the ability of specialized cells, known as phagocytes, to ingest and sometimes digest foreign particles, including pathogenic bacteria. These immune cells—such as macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes—play a crucial role in our body’s defence against infections.

Yeast beta-glucans are known for their immunomodulatory properties. When beta-glucans bind to specific receptors on phagocytes, they promote phagocytosis and the release of cytokines. This activation results in a cascade in the immune response, making beta-glucans essential contributors to our body’s defence mechanisms.
